La carne excluida es una performance/instalación escénica, continuación o 2ª fase del proyecto anterior Quiero ser un animal hembra, realizada en 2021.
Aunque el proceso parte de la misma base conceptual e inspiración: abriendo una discusión similar sobre el cuerpo femenino y los estereotipos que lo atraviesan y ponen en tensión, esta vez el énfasis recae en los contrastes visuales y las conexiones entre un «cuerpo de vaca» y la «carne femenina».
El paralelismo se radicaliza: cómo nuestros cuerpos son tan parecidos, y cómo los colores en escena (rojo, amarillo brillante y azul, negro y rosa) apuntan al hecho de que navegamos por sociedades que nos obligan a estar expuestas y a la venta, como si viviéramos en muchos tipos de museos, galerías, almacenes, supermercados y mataderos.
Sobre el escenario la performer intenta que el público se sienta incómodo, observado, cuestionado, utilizando diferentes dispositivos y estrategias como diálogos frontales de pie, micrófono abierto, voz en off dando instrucciones estrictas, canciones en directo y un baile que pone el cuerpo al límite: el límite del agotamiento, la violencia y la vulnerabilidad.
Nora sigue siendo el personaje principal, alter ego, figura simbólica, pero ahora con forma de muñeca hinchable creada para suscitar lujuria y deseo, y luego para producir asco y vergüenza. La belleza es hoy una cuestión de hambre y casi una necesidad, pero también un motivo para jugar con la culpa, la reivindicación y los ruidos, muchos ruidos y perturbación.
Este sigue siendo el reino de la carne excluida.
Pero ahora una invitación a dar un paso más: a pensar CON el público, juntos, ahora y aquí, en el escenario, frontal y directamente, sobre la dureza de cargar con muchas cargas culturales siendo mujer, pero también el poder que aún podemos encontrar en nuestra carne, una vez que eliminamos esas rígidas estructuras y somos capaces de llevarla a un espacio público, exactamente como es: frágil y fuerte, imperfecta y poderosa. Como una vaca.
Dedicado a todas las vacas del mundo.
A toda la carne que se siente excluida.

The excluded flesh is a stage performance/installation, a continuation or 2nd phase of the previous project I want to be a female animal, carried out in 2021.
Even though the process has the same conceptual ground and inspiration, opening a similar discussion on the female body and the stereotypes that cross it and put it in tension, this time the emphasis is put even more on the visual contrasts and connections between a cow body and the female flesh.
The parallel is more radicalised: how our bodies are so similar, and how the colours on stage (red, shining yellow and blue, black and pink) aim to the fact that we navigate societies which force us to be exhibited and on sale, like if we live in many kinds of museums, galleries, warehouses, supermarkets and slaughterhouses.
On stage the performer tries to make the audience feeling uncomfortable, observed, questioned, using different devices and strategies like frontal stand up dialogues, open microphone, voice in off giving strict instructions, songs in live and a dance that puts the body at its limit: the limit of exhaustion, the violence and vulnerability.
Nora is still the main character, alter ego, symbolic figure, but now shaped as an inflatable doll created to arise lust and desire, and then to produce disgust and shame. Beauty is a matter of hunger and almost a need today, but also a reason to play with guilt, vindication and noises, a lot of noises and disturbance.
This is still the kingdom of the excluded flesh.
But now an invitation to take a step further: to think WITH the audience, together, now and here, on stage, frontally and directly, about the hardness of carrying many cultural charges while being a woman, but also the power that we can still find in our flesh, once we remove those rigid structures and are able to bring it to a public space, exactly as it is: fragile and strong, imperfect and powerful. Like a cow.
Dedicated to all cows in the world.
To all flesh feeling excluded.
